That would drive me crazy. There's nothing worse than almost being done with a project and your machine breaking. I hope it's a quick fix. What where you making?

Hi Kell...that sucks! I know of a place in Santa Ana right across from the dmv where I took my sewing machine when it had problems and they were great. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. Call me if you want more info!

I'm back again. Being a person who loves to do research, I looked up "Machine Stuck in Reverse." Can you believe I found someone with exactly the same machine as you, and the same problem? Alas, the person answering wanted to see the machine to give an answer.But...I found a few suggestions! Try putting a bit of WD-40 behind the reverse button. Someone also said you should make sure the stitch length is set--maybe you accidently moved the lever (dial?) and it's 'between stitches.' Another person said her foot pedal accidentally got wet and that caused the problem until it was completely dry.You could try Googling something like "Brother Sewing Machine Stuck in Reverse" and see what you come up with!Good luck...I gotta run off to work now!

That would make me nuts. But if you're close to finishing, I have a nutty suggestion...could you just work backwards? I mean, if it's a straight seam? Have you tried taking out the plate and really, really cleaning the bobbin area? Maybe there's something small stuck in there, like a wad of thread, that's keeping it from moving forward? It almost sounds as if the feed dogs are working backwards. Is there anything that might be keeping them from working in the right direction? Or the switch that reverses the stitching...anything stuck in there? I'm grasping here, but I think it would be worth taking a really close look.BTW, thanks for visiting my blog. Yep, boys can be really silly. I love that. All my kids have great senses of humor, as does my husband. Me...just about anything slightly humorous cracks me up. I don't like 'mean' humor, but I like silly stuff. The Little Rascals and the Three Stooges still make me spit out my tea!
