what i wear & how i wear it

by @according2kelly on May 11, 2011

i’m joining a movement – a fashion movement that is. sweats, work out pants & sometimes even pajamas have become the norm much to often. so i’m linking up with the always fabulous lindsey to document what i wear & how i wear it. there’s nothing like having a little outfit accountability to get you motivated to actually get dressed each & every day.

although, i have to admit this past or week or so has been a total failure.  having spent most (if not all) of the week, prepping & then working the team sparkle booth at the OC marathon…

you might say my ensembles were a wee bit repetitive. seeing as i wore nearly the same thing everyday…

team sparkle sparkle skirt

{oc marthon}
black tank: nike
turquoise skirt: team sparkle
capri leggings: yummie tummie
custom turquoise & red running shoes: nike
i did add little flair in the form of a red sparkle headband from one love.

team sparkle race legs

one day,  i did opt to wear the team sparkle rainbow race legs.

teams sparkle wears kt tape

{oc marthon}
& on another day i choose to accentuate my sparkle skirt & running shoes with matching red kt tape.(i’m silly like that. although, truth be told there is a medical purpose for the tape (it isn’t all about fashion)… kt tape is like pure magic – healing nearly everything it touches. trust  me, i’d be lost without it.)

so what did YOU wear this week?

Thank you SO much for writing about this, and I'm SO glad I had your blog on my feed so I was able to read about it before my race today :D I finished my 5K at a run/walk in 38:something! I'm totally impressed for running that with a sprained ankle. And I wore the KT Tape of course! In the last three weeks (and without KT Tape), I was only able to run a half mile one time comfortably. Today, I ran most of the 5K comfortably until the end, had some serious swelling afterward, but now that I've relaxed, iced and kept it elevated, the swelling is back to almost nothing. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I love KT tape too. It does wonders for my heel!

Didn't know about this KT Tape. I looked it up (from your link) and I've decided I'm going to try it this weekend to run my first 5K! I've been having some ankle pain in my right ankle, which I've been dealing with a chronic sprain. It's very possible this tape may help more than just the standard brace I've been wearing :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE kt tape. I can't say enough good things about the stuff! I hope it works as well for you as it does for me. If you have any questions, check out their facebook page - they are great!

Thanks for the reference to their facebook page! I've gotten the tape, and taped my ankle two different ways now. Neither way feels like there's enough support where I need it so I'm going to see if I can combine the two ways I've taped already and come up with a better solution for what I need. I do like the tape though and it's really comfortable!

They also have a great "ask an expert" feature. You tell them your "issues" (I'd tell what kind of pain you experience, &/or your injury, & maybe what you use now, i.e. ankle brace) & their expert will suggest a tape application for you. Here's the link: http://t.co/bW5JPV9
