These fun, handmade burlap ornaments are super easy to make and require no sewing. Yay! I love adding textural ornaments to my tree to compliment the shiny balls and twinkly lights. With burlap and jute, these add just the right touch of texture and charm!

No-Sew Burlap Ornaments

Materials:

cream-colored burlap

jute or twine

mini alphabet stamps and brown ink pad

hot glue gun and glue

To make these ornaments, 1) start with 2 squares of creamy burlap, stacked together to give you two identical pieces 2) using pinking shears, cut out two hearts without a stencil by folding the stacked burlap squares and cutting half of a heart shape 3) open the pieces and you’ll have two identical hearts 4) using miniature alphabet stamps and brown ink, stamp Christmas-themed words (Love Joy Peace, Peace on Earth, Noel, Merry Christmas, Merry & Bright, Joy to the World, Silent Night…etc) directly on one burlap heart 5) take the first burlap heart and hot glue it to the second burlap heart, sandwiching a jute handle between the two layers. Leave the bottom open and stuff the inside of the hearts with burlap scraps. After the heart is stuffed, close the gap with another line of hot glue

These ornaments are seriously quick to make! They look great on a tree or as fun gift tags. You could even stamp names on the hearts to personalize packages! I just love a versatile project, don’t you?!

Happy Christmas Crafting!
