today, our featured blogger is the lovely kiki comin, the creator and editor of kiki and company, where you will find free printables, fun projects and lots of DIY inspiration. she is a wife, a mother to 5 amazing kids, and she loves to create in her “down time” (which keeps dwindling the more kids i have!). creating keeps her sane, keeps her inspired and helps her see the world in a whole new way. i love to sew, bake and decorate, but my favorite thing to do is create meaningful printables. at kiki and company you will find printable art for walls to activities for kids and everything in between. she recently opened a digital design shop where you can find many of her new designs. Mostly she loves blogging because life is really SO good, and she loves sharing part of hers with you!

chalkboard art inspired christmas ornaments

Hi everyone, I am Kiki from Kiki and Company, and am so excited to be here to celebrate my favorite time of year!

There are so many things I LOVE about Christmas. As a designer of prints, I love to try to capture the magic of Christmas in an image. Last year I made this really fun print to keep in my family’s mind on the true meaning of Christmas throughout the season:

I had so much fun designing it, I thought it would be fun to make some ornaments to match. Could you imagine wrapping up this framed print and these ornaments together…what a perfect (and super easy and cheap) gift to give!

Here are my new chalkboard art inspired Christmas ornaments:

I love how classic and simple they are..with just the perfect message on them.

Here is the size comparison when they are together.

To make these ornaments, simply download the file and print it out. You can print it on thick cardstock, or in my case, I had them printed, cut them out and used spray adhesive to adhere to foam core. Using an exacto knife I cut out the ornaments and then used a Crop-A-Dile to get the hole in the top. I strung some shimmery ribbon through the top and tied them on the tree.

One of my favorite things about being a designer, is being able to just whip things up as I want need them. My other favorite thing is sharing them!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! Come and see me over at Kiki and Company.
