so dust off your sewing machine, & head on over to skip to my lou for some fabulous sewing projects. rev up your mixers, & visit a southern fairytale for lots of edible yummies & holiday-inspired recipes you definitely don’t want to miss.

today, our featured bloggers are the sometime supermoms aimée and bettijo. they first met over 10 years ago while their husbands attended graduate school in washington D.C. in their pre-mom days both worked in design and marketing. now aimée has two boys and bettijo has four kiddos — together they spent playdates relishing moments when they’d felt like they’d achieved their supermom ideal, even if just for a minute or two. they would call these their “supermom moments” and the concept evolved into a blog www.PagingSupermom.com inspiring moms everywhere to create and cherish more supermom moments.

Christmas-Memory-Game-Garland

Use these free printable cards to play Memory Match with your kids, but when you’re not playing, use clothespins to attach the cards to ribbon or string — creating a festive, decorative banner. If your little ones are anything like ours, they will love this chance to actually PLAY with some holiday decor!!

TO MAKE: Download and print onto cardstock our Memory Match 2-in-1 file. When printing, be sure to print the file TWICE so you’ll have a matching set for the game. Also, print the red “cards” (Pages 1 and 2) on one side and the stripes (Page 3) on the other side. For best results, use a paper cutter to cut cards. We also used a corner-rounder punch to soften the card corners.

TO GIFT: With the busy holiday season upon us, what Mom wouldn’t love a ready-to-use, handmade game and garland to occupy her littles? After printing and cutting the cards, place in a glassine bag along with a couple yards of ribbon (or twine) and 16 small clothespins. Print the giftable tag and instructions (Page 4) on full-sheet sticker paper. Seal the bag with the tag, as pictured above.
