every once in a while, someone contacts me with a “special request”. i’m loving this recent creation for a fancy lady in nyc. a little bit of glitz, a whole lot of gold & just a touch of glamour… the perfect medical id bracelet for such a swanky gal. hope she likes it as much as i do. now, i think i need a shiny gold bracelet for my wrist too.

here’s what kept me up until 3 in the morning (seriously, will i never learn?). my latest apron creation. crafted specifically for the havana nights tie one on apron project. i don’t even really know what a havana night emcopasses, but as soon as i heard the theme, immediately i had a vision… something a little sassy, maybe even sexy, but definitely flirty & fun. you know, an apron you could almost wear dancing. so what do you think? does it scream havana nights?

here’s a sneak peak of a custom order that went out last week (click on picture to enlarge)… an apron collection for a quartet of little girls. all of the aprons are similar, yet slightly different. two aprons were styled after my june apron, named for my grandma, & the other two aprons are what i like to call “diner style” because they remind of what a waitress in a little mom & pop diner might wear. each of the aprons feature my favorite “flower power” fabric on the front, paired with either an aqua & white polka dot trim, or periwinkle & white polka dot trim. all of the aprons are totally reversible, with a solid orange back, “flower power” pocket & polka dot trim.

i’ve been working on a shop update as of late. i’ve had so many people emailing me for custom order jewelry, aprons & other things. (& that is in no way a complaint. i love creating things for other people, i’m just still trying to figure out how to request extra hours in my day.) anyway, i just haven’t had enough time to pay the shop, the attention it deserves. but i’m hoping to change that. i’ll slowly be updating & adding some “new” items in the next little bit… i’m just busy “road testing” a couple of newbies. so come pay us a visit & if you’d like to see something special in the shop, let me know – i’m always open to new ideas. xoxo.

i have no problem admitting that i am totally addicted to swaps. what’s not to love? you get the chance to both give & receive, & to be honest, i haven’t quite decided which i like better. anyway… i most recently participated in the sassy apron swap. (how could i resist, it combined two of my most favorite things… swapping & aprons.) so, now that i know mollie has received my package, i’m posting a picture of my latest apron creation.

this cute little number has been packaged, stamped & is waiting in my mail box this very minute. soon the nice mail carrier is going to come & take it away. it will then be hustled & bustled about until it finally makes it’s way to kerry’s doorstep. hopefully it will make you smile each & every time you put it on. enjoy!

i recently had the great pleasure of creating a pair of aprons for two sisters who love to bake… hopefully they will soon be dusted in flour & splattered with cookie dough. hope they’re perfect. enjoy!
