ever considered going plastic?

by @according2kelly on May 13, 2008

recently everyone buzzing about the new book “my beautiful mommy“. and although i’ve never actually read it, i understand it’s a cartooned explanation for your little ones about the plastic surgery process. & while i can’t really imagine ever sitting down wih my boys to read this book, several questions do spring to mind:

have you ever thought about having plastic surgery? if so, what “part” would you like to go under the knife?

have you already had plastic surgery? were you pleased with the results? would you do it again?

& most importantly, would read THIS book to your kids, prior to the surgery?

as for me, as you may or may not recall (because i’ve complained about it before), having two kids has left with me with little more than an A cup… so that is definitely something i’d remedy. i’d probably also have a little work done in the tummy area. no matter what i do, i think i will always have a bit of a pooch. on occasion, i’ve even been asked if i was pregnant. although, i’m proud to admit, this isn’t a normal, everyday question, i still think i’ll always have a bit of a muffin top. so i think i’d love having my tummy area sucked, pulled & prodded until it was a touch “flatter.”

so what about you? any interest in being nipped & tucked? please share, inquiring minds want to know.

remember this?

by @according2kelly on March 22, 2008

so a while back i spilled the beans on a friend’s secret project & offered you all a sneak peak. well, i’m happy, no… thrilled to announce that miss carrie & her “this is me – a kid’s first keepsake journal” have officially opened their doors for business. check out the new website HERE. take a look around – i love the kids’ self-portrait gallery. (if you have a child ages 3-8 you can send in their self-portrait to be entered in the monthly drawing for a free journal.)

still don’t have your very own “this is me journal”? buy one HERE, or go HERE for a chance to win your very own. (be sure to enter before midnight est, saturday.)

we’ve had our journal for awhile now, & i absolutely love it. i love cuddling up with gavin to record his thoughts & feelings. one day we will look back on this & it will be an absolute treasure.

as close to the red carpet that i’ll ever get!

by @according2kelly on September 9, 2007

thanks mique for nominating me for a great tip award! it makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside knowing that someone out there actually likes my ideas & thinks i’m special! as in blogging fashion, it’s my turn to nominate three people. this was not a task i could take lightly. heavens! everyone out there in the blog-o-sphere is creative and brilliant… & i can choose just three? well here we go!

  • my aunt marty. she is the queen of organization. she has amazing ideas for creating really useful living spaces. most recently though, she has taught me the finer points of creating and organizing my wardrobe. check out her tips HERE.
  • my awesome cousin-in-law christie. if you haven’t read her blog yet, go now… she is a crack up! her blog is full of hilarious accounts of life & incredible home decorating tips (i love all of her before and after shots). but, i’m nominating her for her “getting to know me” (for lack of a better term) posts. reading posts like THIS and THIS really help me think about my life, how i got here & where i want to go. thanks for making me think… (even if it makes my head hurt!)
  • caroline: first off she is an incredible jewelry designer (i wish i had that kind of talent!) so it’s fun to visit her blog & get glimpses of her newest creations. but she is always posting fun projects and tips. she’s crafty, organized & a good cook to boot!

now i hope you girls will spread the great tip love!

busy. busy. busy.

by @according2kelly on June 18, 2007

we had a fun-filled weekend: graduations, parties, shopping, hershey kiss shaped rice krispie treats, church, father’s day & even more parties. but now it’s monday morning, back to real life… the little munchkins are sick, AGAIN, the house looks like a hurricane hit it, suddenly got lots of work to do (for the job i get paid to do), & maybe, if i’m lucky, i’ll get to take a shower. so, that being said, i don’t know how much i’ll get to post today. but these magnets expressed perfectly how i am feeling. buy your own HERE.
hope you have a very happy monday!
